Getting started

Build a useful fleet workspace from the records you have today.

This guide describes current FleetTrestle workflow boundaries. Available actions still depend on authentication, organization membership, role, subscription state, and the records in your workspace.

STEP 1

Create the company workspace

Use the normal signup and sign-in flow. Account creation does not itself grant access to another organization's records.

STEP 2

Add the vehicles you operate now

Start with the identifying details and current mileage you know. Vehicle CSV import is available for supported vehicle fields when a bulk start is more practical.

STEP 3

Capture current operational priorities

Enter known maintenance needs, inspections, issues, expenses, and documents as applicable instead of trying to reconstruct perfect historical data before using the product.

STEP 4

Invite only the people who need access

Use the Team workspace for membership and role administration. Organization and role checks still apply to protected actions after a person is invited.

STEP 5

Keep records current as work happens

Update mileage, maintenance, inspections, defects, expenses, documents, and driver assignments through the protected customer workspace.

STEP 6

Review exceptions and evidence

Use current records to identify overdue work, unresolved issues, changing costs, and document or credential needs. FleetTrestle records support decisions; they do not replace required inspections, manufacturer guidance, or legal compliance review.
