What kind of fleets is FleetTrestle built for?FleetTrestle is aimed at small and growing commercial fleets—especially service businesses operating cars, vans, pickups, trailers, and mixed light-duty vehicles.
Is FleetTrestle only for trucking companies? No. Cleaning, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, construction, delivery, restoration, route-service, and other field-service businesses are core use cases.
How large does my fleet need to be?There is no reason to wait until a fleet becomes large. FleetTrestle is designed to help small fleets organize vehicle history before spreadsheets and memory become a larger operating problem.
Do I need GPS hardware or telematics devices? No dedicated hardware is required for FleetTrestle's core vehicle records, maintenance, vehicle inspections / DVIR, costs, documents, issues, and team workflows.
Can I use FleetTrestle on my phone?Yes. Owners, managers, and authorized field users can use responsive FleetTrestle workflows from phones as well as desktop browsers.
What can I track for each vehicle?Mileage, maintenance history, vehicle inspections / DVIR, defects and issues, expenses, documents, and other operating history can stay attached to the vehicle record.
What does DVIR mean, and do I need it?DVIR means Driver Vehicle Inspection Report. FleetTrestle generally says vehicle inspections / DVIR because many service fleets need repeatable vehicle checks even when trucking terminology does not apply to them.
Can more than one person use the same fleet account?Yes. FleetTrestle uses organization workspaces and role-based access so companies can bring multiple users into one operating record without sharing a login.
How long does setup take?Setup depends on fleet size and how organized your existing records are. The guided onboarding flow walks through the company workspace, vehicles or imports, team access, mileage, inspections, and maintenance review.
Can I import existing fleet records?FleetTrestle supports migration templates and guided import preparation so you can organize existing vehicle and spreadsheet data instead of starting from a blank page.
Who owns the data I enter?Your organization retains ownership of the fleet and business information it submits. Organization administrators can download a JSON copy of the records stored in FleetTrestle.
Can I cancel?Yes. Customers can cancel through billing management. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, so access continues through the paid-through date and the subscription does not renew afterward.
Is there a long-term contract?FleetTrestle subscriptions are managed through the billing system shown on the Pricing and Billing pages. The customer-facing terms shown at purchase govern the selected billing cadence and cancellation.
Is there a free trial?FleetTrestle does not automatically offer a public free trial. You can explore the live sample fleet, guides, and tutorials before creating an account.
How is payment information handled?FleetTrestle uses Stripe-hosted checkout and billing-management experiences, so the application does not need to store raw payment card numbers itself.
What support is available?FleetTrestle provides self-service help content and a support-request workflow. Current support expectations should be reviewed on the support and pricing pages before purchase.
Can FleetTrestle replace my spreadsheets? That is a core use case: moving disconnected vehicle, maintenance, cost, document, inspection, and issue tracking into one shared operating record.
Is my fleet data separated from other customers?Yes. Fleet records are protected by authenticated access and permissions tied to your company workspace.
